The First Tennessee Development District is accepting applications for a Special Projects Manager.  Duties include but are not limited to administering the infrastructure needs survey conducted annually under a contract with the state of Tennessee, assisting with the development and implementation of the agency’s annual work program, representing the agency at events and meetings throughout the Northeast Tennessee eight county region, providing information about regional initiatives, issues and services provided by the FTDD, monitoring current and pending legislation to keep staff and local elected officials advised on issues of interest.  Desired knowledge and abilities include flexibility and versatility in adapting to diverse and multiple responsibilities and assignments, ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and verbal form.  Ability to work closely with others, knowledge of organization and structure of local, state and federal government is highly desired.  Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a major in marketing, business, journalism or related field or significant related experience is required.  Applications are available at the FTDD office at 3211 North Roan St., Johnson City, TN 37601.   Applications must be submitted with a resume.
