National Career Readiness Certificate

The First Tennessee Development District is now offering free National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) testing across Northeast Tennessee. Funding for approximately 475 tests is provided by the Tennessee Opioid Abatement Fund and a grant from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, administered by the Northeast Tennessee Local Workforce Board.

The NCRC is a nationally recognized credential that measures essential workplace skills in:

• Applied Math

• Workplace Documents

• Graphic Literacy

• ​

Participants can earn certification at four levels—Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—reflecting increasing proficiency.
