More than 4,300 area students from around the region are already registered to attend the 2022 CareerQuest Tennessee events, where they will learn about careers in advanced manufacturing, construction, health Care and IT.
CareerQuest Tennessee will be held in the Mini Dome on the campus of East Tennessee State University on May 12th & 13th. The FTDD coordinates the event with regional professionals in each sector who lead the design and recruitment of the volunteers for their respective sector.
Since 2017, students have enjoyed this highly interactive event where they spend time with industry leaders, practitioners, and HR professionals learning about careers they can enjoy here in our region. They have the chance to gain hands-on experience, talk about career paths, and learn what it like to work for some the of the region's employers.
The FTDD is excited that Ballad Health is the platinum sponsor for the region’s premiere career exploration event. Other sponsors include AO Smith, UT Industrial Services, TVA, City of Elizabethton, WJHL, and Daytime Tri Cities.
Historically, more than 450 volunteers help make this event a success, which continues to receive great reviews from teachers and students. One highlight of CareerQuest is a VIP event with elected officials, community leaders and sponsors who have the opportunity to experience the event just as students do. They also enjoy a brunch catered by regional high school culinary students who partner to provide delicious food.
